Arduino based – Level Crossing Control – by John Cornell. Inspired by some of some of Geoff Bunza’s work, John Cornell used an Arduino Uno to control level crossing (grade-crossing) booms and LED flashers. The details of John’s project are described below. The booms are controlled by small servo-motors. Signal circuits: Grade Crossing Pro, Block Animator, Signal Animator, BlockMaster, SignalMaster; Fast Clocks: LocoNet, NCE, Flexible; Signals: Tomar,. This item was removed from my Railroad when we converted to Computer Control. It is in like new condition & works just fine. Includes copy of original instructions. There is 1 available & I will combine shipping for multiple items.GCP Grade Crossing Pro electronic crossing signal and/or gate controller by Logic Rail Technologies. Prototypical control of grade crossing signals (LED or bulbs) and gate motors. Works with both DC and DCC Layouts. Uses photocell detection (requires adequate overhead lighting). Complete instructions included - easy to install.
Detects and animates grade crossing signals & controls motorized gates in all scales. Features: 'TrueLamp' feature gives realistic flashing lamp persistence; the lamps (LED or bulbs) appear to fade out rather than simply turn on and off Uses 4 photocells (included) for proper bi-directional behavior ( additional photocells avail able. Each photocell has its own sensitivity adjustment and the GCP provides a setup mode for making the adjustment process easier Adjustable gate motor speed Cascade multiple GCP units for multi-track crossing arrangements. Works with all scales. Powered from AC or DC (7-16V); current draw is ~90mA withWhat do you think about this video?
Lesa Shiminski: I ues MTH mouse shaped inferred detector on ho crossings . I find they are the best Cornell Custom Trains: Walthers crossing flashers are like all the rest, add a resistor, flasher circuit and away you go. I've used the GCP, and a few other flasher circuits with these. My best results were with a Aux-Box and occupancy sensor. The sensor detects the train, and triggers the Aux-Box ACC # which turns them on. The Crooked River & Eastern RR: Hey nice product. Looks great and you are very creative on how you hid the sensors. 👍 I liked and subbed to your channel. Thx for sharing. David Bobby Slater: So crossbucks need electronics now? What happened to the good old ones that you simply attached to the track? Hot Rod Rodney 25: And nice layout Hot Rod Rodney 25: I'd rather use the opt sensors And stay dc it is what it is. A lot easier and simpler and cheaper Cameron White: You mentioned that Walthers cantilever signals were prioritary compatible. Doesn't this kit have just the lights and wiring? Can another electronic circuit board be used? JD Sweet: :D I'm making a board to control 32 LED lights with crossbucks. GETLOWDUDE: Can u please make a video on how to wire and set them up step by step? I REALLY need help please!! Thank you! bob moore: i thought you where going to show how to wire them?...all you show is were the inferred lights go? |
