I am using Linux Mint 10 Gnome from a USB stick without installing on a Dell Inspiron Laptop.

It tells me that I need a non-free driver for the Broadcom wireless facility.

When I search for new drivers, it tells me what I need and then I try to Activate it.

It connects to the internet (via a temporary wired connection) and tells me it is downloading and installing the drivers

After a while it stops with the error message: SystemError: installArchives() failed

I have reloaded the packages in Package Manager and searched for Broadcom SDA (STA?), but there appears to be nothing available.
